Abou Us

Mascoulisse Quartet, founded by four young artists -Emanuele Quaranta, Stefano Belotti, Alberto Pedretti, Davide Biglieni- trombone graduates at the “Luca Marenzio” Conservatory of Brescia and the “Gaetano Donizetti” Conservatory of Bergamo with the highest marks. They've worked with many artists, including: Stefan Schulz (Berliner Philharmoniker and international soloist), Michel Becquet (international soloist), Christian Lindberg (international soloist), Vincent Lepape (Teatro Regio of Turin), BiondiBrunialti, and Giulio Mercati (organist).

Over the years, the Quartet has taken part in over 400 important concerts and festivals throughout Italy, Europe and the United States; constantly presenting innovative and fresh programs, such as concerts in quartet, trio and octet formation, with electronic music, and as soloists accompanied by orchestras. Displaying an original, elegant and ever flowing repertoire, “… because our music is a wave”. In addition to their chamber music careers, each musician of the Mascoulisse Quartet has a vast amount of orchestral experience, leading them to perform in some of the most prestigious theaters in the world under the direction of conductors like Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Gianandrea Noseda, Fabio Luisi, Ennio Morricone, Andrej Boreyko, Wayne Marshall and Yury Temirkanov.

Embracing the contemporary and pop music world, the musicians have worked both individually and as a group with important names such as: Giovanni Allevi, Lucio Dalla, Laura Pausini, Bocelli, MODA, Zucchero, Fedez, J-Ax and Jovanotti.
They have also collaborated with record labels, TV and radio stations like Sony, EMI classica, RTL 102.5, Rai Italia, Radio3 RAI, Mediaset, Radio Onda Cero of Madrid.

The Mascoulisse Quartet is the winner of numerous international awards, and since 2011 organises the international Festival “MASterBrass”(www.masterbrass.it) which features them in the roles of coordinator, teacher and soloist, hosting and performing alongside some of the most influential figures in today's brass world.

2017 will see the birth of the Masterbrass Academy which will nurture new talents through innovative teaching methodologies.

To date Mascoulisse Quartet has published seven discs and various educational publications for conservatory students.
